I hope you give more thought to RZ's take on church architecture and beauty, as contemporary Christians have utterly dropped any and all understanding of the necessity of Beauty from the pursuit of Truth, Goodness and Beauty. It's grieved me my whole life and I tend to think it's an error of certain thinking-style intellectual personality types. Beauty is treated as an unimportant frill. I want to go to bible college and seminary but as a 52 year old disabled that has recently been restored, I can find no road. It's money money money. I am Baptist. Sunday, I attended a PCA church. I was brought to tears. The sermon dealt with election which I affirm. They are Reformed and Calvinistic which has become a bad word in Baptist churches. From the call to worship to the benediction, the worship was completely God centered. I’ve been living in a very dry place.

I grew up in mostly anglican and baptist churches, but have been with pentecostals for the past 11 years or so. To be honest none of this seems strange to me. I absolutely love that you sing the old psalms when I have to listen to Hillsong, Bethel, and Elevation on repeat each week being blasted at 90dB+. I also think it's very thoughtful and biblical that you dedicate your children in baptism. I was baptised or "christened" as the anglicans put it, when I was an infant. But later in life when I was old enough to make my own decisions, I chose to be baptised again and it was a very profound and spiritual experience. My view of the sabbath is somewhat relaxed, in that I work many weekends due to the nature of my job (food delivery driver). So I respectfully try to take a day or two off during the week where possible. But yeah it amazes me how much common ground the different denominations share and also the beauty of our oneness, despite the traditions that we hold to.

Good clear honest preaching, Pastor Matthew. I wish there was a decent Reformed church here in the Australian country area I live in. Tried three over a couple of years and now prefer studying my bible and books at home.

God calls a pastor, not man. Many Old famous pastors wasn't ordained or even went to Bible schools, but some even founded Bible schools like Charles Spurgeon. The problem today is, these businesses we call churches (501c3 government churches) are teaching man's ways of thinking along with church traditions. God is calling His children out of these corporations because they have left God! A Reformation is happening right now. God is REFORMING His church. Many of us came out of the church system because it has lost their way. Alot of new teachings are being taught today in these so called Christian churches. Read Ezekiel chapter 34. God is bringing bad pastors down and raising new pastors up! God told me NOT to go to Bible College and etc. "He has been teaching me!" What you don't see is God teaching us in the prayer closet and go through trials and etc. You may all of a sudden hear about a new basket ball player that is in college, but u don't see behind the scenes of the years of practice..... Truth is, many do not hear the voice of the Lord and they are Preaching, teaching, and etc. Sad....... Hard to find a true church where the Holy Spirit flows, and not quenched. God also told me the church will be back in the homes.....

When catholic missionaries discovered them, they venerated icons and saints as well. They quickly reunited with the main catholic church. If St thomas started the indian church and they never had contact with the catholic or orthodox church, how could they have independently invented a false apostolic tradition? They knew absolutely nothing about the iconoclasts that showed up after islam. There’s no record of icons being disputed in the early church. They were literally always there! Lol it took RZ like 2 days to go back to bashing evangelicals, baptists, offshoots etc. That kid has a SERIOUS ego and pride problem and it earned my unsub too. He hates the PCA, he bashes Reformed Baptists just because they don't fit his criteria of "Reformed", he pretty much spends all his time these days talking about what his identity is ("why I'm not xyz", for example) like a typical Gen Z, and it has honestly just gotten tiring to see someone claim to be fighting for the kingdom but then bashing faithful churches while promoting the PCUSA of all places because of pretty buildings and a few extra confessions. RZ gave you alligator tears. His latest video on ranking confessions shows just that. That kid has a LOT of growing to do, and seriously needs to address his pride and humble himself.

Eastern Orthodox here, formerly Reformed. Just want to show appreciation for the way you spoke about icons in our Church. So many protestants will say that we worship images, which is so observably false and so tiresome. We do worship God through the use of images, just like we worship God through prayer and songs and psalmody. It's rare to see a Presbyterian speak on this issue without the editorial slant, so I just gotta give props. Also, I know the Presbyterians won't agree with this, but I do have to say that Christ is the image of the invisible God - and your history of icons in worship is incorrect. They go back to the first century.
